Windshield tag

Make vehicle access fast, secure, and completely hands-free with the ButterflyMX Windshield Tag. Designed for use with the ButterflyMX Vehicle Reader, this RFID credential allows residents and staff to enter gates and garages automatically — without remotes, key fobs, or PIN codes.

Simply place the windshield tag inside the vehicle, and the reader will scan it as the car approaches the entrance. Once verified, the system automatically opens the gate or garage, allowing drivers to enter without rolling down their windows or leaving their vehicles.

Because the tag stays affixed to the windshield, it’s difficult to lose and provides a reliable credential for long-term residents and staff. When paired with the ButterflyMX mobile app and online management dashboard, property managers can easily assign or revoke vehicle access credentials whenever needed.
